Fall Sunday School Offerings
In addition to our children and youth classes, we'll be offering four adult classes:
  1. Building Teamwork in Your Marriage - Pastor Thom Pratt
  2. Bridges Church of God Class - Dan Fizer
  3. Getting to Know Us, a class for newcomers to the Church of God and those new to the Christian faith - Dave Bowen
  4. General Bible Study - Taught by Four People

Community Family Fun Day
We will host a family fun get together on Saturday, August 16th from 4:30-8:00pm in the Teays Valley K-Mart parking lot. Donations are needed of tent gazebos, canned soda, small bags of chips, hot dogs and buns, door prizes, baked goods, candy, and coolers for ice. Please notify Nancy Parsons if you are able to supply any of these items or call the church office at 757-9222. Bring your friends for this evening of inflatables pony rides, food and lots of fun.

Women of the Church of God Yard Sale
The WCG are having a yard sale Saturday, Aug. 16th from 8:00am to 2:00pm at the home of Allita Legg, 2844 Virginia Avenue, Hurricane. If you have items you would like to donate, you can take them to Allita's house. Please notify her at 562-4404 that you are bringing items.

Newcomer Lunch
If you have made TVCOG your home church in the last four months, you are invited to a "get to know us and you" picnic on Sunday, Aug 17th after the moring service at the home of John and Lisa Sargent, 338 Teays Lane, Hurricane. RSVP to the church office at 757-9222. Bring your seimsuits and a healthy appetite.

Kid's Club Teacher Dinner - August 17th

On Sunday night, August 17th, we're having a dinner at 5:30pm for those of you who have worked in our Wednesday night kid's club. We want to say "thanks" for a great year and prepare you fo rthe upciming school season. We need all Kid's Club workers to attend.

Young at Heart Birthday Party - 55 and older - August 24th
We're having a birthday party in your honor on Sunday night, August 24th at 6:00pm. We'll celebrate the birthdays of all who are 55 and older in one evening. Join us for refreshments and fun fellowship at our second annual "Birthday Bash!"

All Church Labor Day Picnic - August 31st
We're having an all church picnic on Sunday night, August 31st. Join us up on the Kingdom Curve property at f5:00pm. Bring a main dish and side/dessert and a two liter of soda and join us for a time of fun. The Parsons family will be "picking and grinning" that evening. We'll eat promptly at 5:15. Please bring a non=churched friend to this outreach opportunity.

Donation Receipts
If you donated items for the church yard sale and would like a receipt for your income tax records, please fill out the form on the lobby table and leave it on the table to be photocopied and signede by our secretary. A copy will be mailed to you.

Scott Teays Elementary Outreach
We would like you to save "Happy Meal" toys and other small toys you have, to be donated to the teachers at Scott Teays to be used as prizes. Please bring your toys and place them in the container n the lobby table.

Community Cupboard Ministry
Congregation, please remember to bring one non-perishable food item, tioletry, or package of diapers to church with you every Sunday morning. This will be an ongoing and much needed ministry for the community. Please place food in the wooden box in the lobby.
